Patient Guide
Laser Skin Tightening
What is the Halo Fractional Laser
- First Laser: Removes the outer layer of thickened, dull skin, revealing fresh, healthy skin underneath.
- Second Laser: Creates microscopic channels in the deeper skin layers, triggering collagen production and natural healing.
This dual-action approach tightens skin, improves texture, minimizes scars, and restores a youthful glow—all with customizable intensity and faster healing times.
What does SkinTyte treat?
Over time, sun exposure, aging, and environmental damage cause skin discoloration, fine lines, and uneven texture. Halo resurfaces and repairs the skin, leaving it smoother, firmer, and more radiant.
Halo is an excellent treatment for a wide variety of skin concerns, including:
- Fine Lines & Wrinkles – Stimulates collagen to smooth out fine lines and prevent future aging.
- Sun Damage & Brown Spots – Eliminates sun spots and pigmentation for a more even skin tone.
- Uneven Skin Texture & Enlarged Pores – Refines rough skin and minimizes large pores for a smoother complexion.
- Acne Scars & Other Scarring – Reduces the appearance of scars by promoting collagen regeneration.
- Loose or Crepey Skin – Firms and tightens skin by stimulating natural collagen production.
- Redness & Rosacea – Evens out skin tone and reduces redness for a clearer, more balanced complexion.
Who is a Good Candidate for Halo?
- Have visible signs of sun damage, fine lines, or uneven texture.
- Want smoother, brighter, and firmer skin.
- Are looking for a laser treatment with faster healing compared to traditional lasers.
- Want customized treatment options to match your skin goals and lifestyle.
Halo can be used as a standalone treatment or combined with other aesthetic treatments for even greater results.
What to Expect at Your Consultation
During your Halo consultation at Midwest Vein & Laser, one of our expert providers will assess your skin and discuss your concerns and goals. We will:
- Analyze your skin to determine if Halo is the best treatment for you.
- Customize a treatment plan based on your skin type, lifestyle, and desired results.
- Explain what to expect before, during, and after your treatment.
We ensure that every Halo session is tailored to your needs, providing the best possible results with the least amount of downtime.
What to Expect During Your Treatment
Your Halo session begins with cleansing the skin and applying a topical numbing cream to maximize comfort. The Halo handpiece is then gently passed over the treatment area, delivering its dual laser wavelengths to remove damaged skin and stimulate collagen remodeling.
Most patients experience a warm, prickling sensation, similar to a mild sunburn. The treatment typically takes 30-60 minutes, depending on the area being treated.
After treatment, your skin will appear red and feel warm, with mild peeling and flaking over the next few days as the damaged skin sheds and new skin is revealed.
